LED lamps and bulbs from Diamond LED offer lighting designers new solutions to create effective display, feature and space lighting schemes. As well as being able to select from a large range of colour and beam options, applications will also benefit from the very significant savings on running costs compared to standard halogen dichroic lamps and bulbs.

Example: 5 Watt LED device may provide a similar lighting experience to a 35Watt Halogen light. This represents a massive 86% energy saving and is fairly typical of the possible savings to be made.

LED lamps and bulbs are ideal for commercial applications such as retail premises, bars and office spaces where attractive lighting design is imperative, but running costs need to be kept a minimum. Industry standard light fittings also ensure that our LED lamps and bulbs can be used as effective replacements for halogen Dichroic, strip lights and standard filament lamps in existing business and home applications.

Why LED Lamps or Bulbs - are they Environmentally Friendly?

LEDs are more energy efficient than normal halogen bulbs (around 90% more) and combined with the rising electric bills, you can be saving money as the average household's electrical usage is around 20% just for lighting, and at the same time reduce your carbon footprint. Around 90% of the electricity consumed by an LED is converted into light, whereas a standard bulb only converts around 15%.

LED's, as previously mentioned, are very energy efficient and reduce carbon emissions quite considerably. They are also ROHS compliant and mercury free unlike other energy saving bulbs which contain an amount of both mercury and phosphor which can be a health hazard. Therefore overall, LED lighting is better for the environment than standard light bulbs.
