Hotel Accomodation and Bed and Breakfast Accommodation The Plough Inn is a country hotel just outside the Cheshire town of Congleton, on the road to Macclesfield. Accommodation consists of 17 double bedrooms all with en-suite facilities. The main picture above shows the original frontage of the Plough Inn, the other two give an idea of the superb accommodation provided at the Plough. Accommodation in En-Suite Double Bedrooms In 1985 the garages at the rear of the pub were converted, providing impressive accommodation with eight double, en-suite bedrooms. The bedrooms were created by top London designer Michael Priest of Belgravia, who has also done interior design for Raymond Blanc and Inverlockie Castle. More recently, the stables were converted into accommodation so the Plough Inn now boasts 17 double bedrooms, all en-suite to a very high standard. Each bedroom has the following facilities: Tea & coffee making facility Hair dryer & trouser press Wireless connection Disabled facilities En-suite bathrooms LCD television Good, Fine Food in the Barn Restaurant In 1997 the construction and restoration of the old barn commenced. Although it looks as if it has always been here, the barn is originally from Wales, where it watched over the Welsh hills for over 300 years! It arrived in hundreds of pieces, rather like a huge jigsaw puzzle, and caught the attention of many people. Since its 'change of address', the barn now fulfils a new role as a luxurious restaurant rather than a winter store for cattle feed! As well as the popular menu, specials which change regularly, are served in both the Non-Smoking Barn Restaurant and the main body of the pub. The menu includes traditional favourites such as fish & chips, and imaginative and original dishes created by our team of experienced Chefs. All the food is freshly prepared from natural ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible, and served by our attentive and helpful staff, providing our customers with an enjoyable dining experience. Weddings at the Plough Inn We can accommodate up to 50 people comfortably for sit down meals or up to 80 for a finger buffet. We can offer afternoon wedding receptions every day of the week and an evening reception as part of a package in certain circumstances. We are an ideal location for small intimate weddings. We do not charge for room hire or a fee for a civil wedding, we purely charge you for consumption of food and wine etc, however there is an additional charge if the restaurant is required on Friday or Saturday Evening for a reception/function. We hold a licence for civil wedding ceremonies.
