Leave Safe Training is led by Ex-Fire Officer Les Spencer. Les brings over 30 years experience as a serving Fire Officer to this role, and also many years experience in training, including Fire Safety Training within the Workplace. Les has spent a lot of his working life as a fire officer with Cheshire Fire and Rescue,and has developed many contacts in the surrounding area of North Wales, Cheshire including the Wirral, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.

Being an Ex Fire Officer, Les has many years experience in giving fire safety training to local organisations, Councils and businesses. This enables you and your staff, or key persons within the business, to receive the best possible training in fire safety with the emphasis on prevention of fires.

Due to the The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, no matter what type of business, size of building, work process or staffing level it is every employer's responsibility to provide adequate Fire Training to its staff. Fire Extinguisher Training Courses

All fire extinguisher training courses will be tailored to suit individual requirements, usually in the comfort of your own premises. The course will consist of both theory and practical sessions, and all appropriate equipment will be provided by Leave Safe Training. It will give an understanding of how fire develops and behaves including the classifications of fire and give the opportunity to use different types of extinguishers found within your workplace.

Who should attend? - Any peron who may be required to use a fire extinguisher, often any employee within your workplace.

Fire Warden Fire Marshall Training Courses

Fire Warden training consists of theory and practical sessions. This course focuses on the responsibilities of the Fire Warden or Marshall. By understanding current legislation including the principles of risk assessment, the causes and behaviour of fire, effective planning can be put in place to help prevent fire and escape safely in the event of a fire. Candidates will also receive a practical demonstration of the correct use of fire extinguishers.

Who should attend? - This course is for staff within the workplace responsible for implementing and assisting with general day to day fire safety procedures.

Fire Manager Training Course

The Fire Manager training course consists of theory and practical sessions, focusing on the responsibilities of the Fire Manager with a large business premises. By understanding current legislation including risk assessments, the causes and behaviour of fire, effective planning can be put in place to help prevent fire and escape safely in the event of a fire.

This course aims to explain the responsibilities of a Fire Manager and how the Fire Warden or Fire Marshall, in line with the requirements under the Fire Safety Order 2005, reports to the Fire Manager. It will detail the causes and action of fire in order to provide effective planning in the event of a fire, and to provide theoretical and practical demonstration of the correct use of fire extinguishers.

Who should attend? - This course is for the Fire Manager who is responsible for a team of Fire Wardens or Fire Marshalls, usually in larger businesses or Local Authorities.
