Cafe Bar Coffee Shop Serving Food & Drink in Stockport

Castle Chambers (formerly CJ's Bistro) is a cafe bar and coffee shop serving great food in Stockport. This family run business provides meals to eat in or to take away, or in summer you can sit outside while enjoying your meal at our bistro style tables on the pavement. Our location is easy to find, being behind the Asda store and opposite the shopping mall.

We prepare all our meals using fresh produce sourced locally where possible and, of course, subject to seasonal variations. All meals are freshly prepared, but some customers telephone their order early in the day to make best use of the limited time available at lunch time.

Traditional Full English Breakfast in Stockport

We serve a traditional full English breakfast throughout the day. Some of our customers require the 'Full Monty' consisting of bacon, sausage, egg, fried bread, black pudding, beans, hash browns, mushrooms and tomato. Other customers with a slightly smaller appetite choose their own ingredients, or have everything in smaller quantities - just tell us, we have many customers who come in and ask for breakfast and get exactly what they want because we get to know our regulars.

Traditional Sunday Lunch in Stockport 11.00am - 4.00pm

We serve a traditional Sunday Lunch, often called 'The Sunday Roast', consisting of the finest roast beef, two or three veg, mashed and roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and a selection of sauces, including English and French mustard and horseradish sauce. And lets not forget the delicious gravy!

Popular belief traces the Sunday Lunch back to Yorkshire during the Industrial Revolution. It is believed this tradition arose because the meat could be left in the oven to cook before church on a Sunday morning, and it would be ready when the family arrived home at lunchtime. In any event, we like to think our sunday Roast would be as well received 200 years ago as it is today!!
