Perth County Council Coat of Arms

The arms show the Scottish lion, as Perthshire historically was strongly linked with the Scottish Royal families. The lion holds a scimitar to defend the country. The free canton shows the Scone Palace and a crown, which symbolises the time when Perth was capital of Scotland and many Kings of Scotland were crowned in Scone Palace.
The motto is 'Pro Lege et Libertate' - For Law and Liberty.
The IBD Home Page and each IBD County Page has or will have (where possible) the relevant Coat of Arms. This is made possible thanks to a fantastic heraldry website called the International Civic Heraldry Website. Sometimes a description is not given due to lack of information, so if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. You may visit this superb site by using the link below.
